A common platform for Institutional Animal Welfare Bodies operating in Hungary.
The OMÁB is a collaborative initiative through which we can work together to improve the welfare of laboratory animals, learn from one another, and grow professionally. It provides a platform to define a common direction that advances laboratory animal science in Hungary and supports its continued development.
Following the first NÉBIH/ÁTET Conference held on 7 June 2022, a number of participants recognized the value of the discussions that had begun and expressed a desire to continue the dialogue and collaborate on a long-term basis.
Active immunization involves the use of inactivated or attenuated pathogens, or selected components of these pathogens, to induce an immune response in the vaccinated individual. The purpose of vaccination is to establish protective immunity that can prevent disease when the individual is later exposed to the actual pathogen.
